It’s no surprise that the 1/6 scale Losi® Super Rey platform represents the peak of large scale electric RC vehicle performance, given that in many ways it’s an enlarged version of the highly successful 1/10 scale Rey — with a bit of 1/5 scale 5IVE magic added in. Drivers looking for the same “real” desert truck authenticity in large RC truck that makes the 1/10 scale Rey exceptional will find it in the Super Rey. Supporting up to 8S LiPo battery power out of the box, this platform outperforms its competitors with 50+ mph speed potential. It gives any driver the power and stability to succeed off the beaten path with impressive size, speed, and endurance.
The foundation of the Losi Super Rey platform consists of a 4mm, anodized aluminum chassis plate with a 4mm upper deck. Just like 1:1 desert trucks, the Super Rey also has a rigid roll cage made of super-tough composite material that enhances the scale looks and durability. The roll cage is integrated with the chassis plate to provide the ultimate protection for your remote control truck and its electronics.
Also just like real world unlimited desert trucks, the Super Rey has a real “live” axle with a triangulate 4-link rear suspension. It can soak up massive whoops and bumps with the same realistic handling and movement of a full-scale truck, giving you better control and a more locked-in feel regardless of the terrain. The front suspension arms accommodate slider style front axles, giving the Super Rey more suspension travel to take on the roughest terrain. The long-travel shocks feature threaded shock bodies with adjustment collars so you can fine-tune the pre-load settings of the coil-over springs. External bump stops provide plush landings on even the hardest surfaces. From hard pack to whoops, small rollers to giant kickers, these shocks absorb it all!
Full-time four-wheel drive with a durable, all metal gear drivetrain gives the Losi Super Rey amazing traction. The front, center and rear differentials can be tuned for adjusting the power bleed between the front and rear drivetrain, allowing you to dial in your truck for maximum performance. For easier off-road driving, the Super Rey incorporates an innovative rear-loading battery system. Not only can you change the batteries quickly without having to wrestle with straps, but you can do it without even removing your body!
The Losi Super Rey platform is available ready-to-run (RTR) in a desert truck version. The desert truck features longer rear trailing arms that increase the wheelbase to add more high-speed stability over rough terrain, with additional suspension tuning options as well. Both include a Spektrum™ DX3™ radio system and Spektrum Firma™ ESC and motor. LiPo batteries, compatible charger, and transmitter batteries are required.
In addition to the Super Rey platform, the vehicle also features a body that’s a masterpiece of scale realism, plus molded interior that includes a driver and co-driver with racing helmet and harness details. Light bars and even small details like brake calipers have been reproduced to perfection, giving this off-road giant incredible scale looks to match its insane speeds and unstoppable performance.
