If you’re an RC driver looking for a radio control car and truck platform that has the versatility to win races as well as hold up to action off the track, the 1/10 scale Losi® 22S is it. The 22S is the successful 1/10 scale 2WD platform behind our powerful ’69 Camaro and ’68 Ford F100 No Prep brushless RC drag racers, as well as the economical brushed 22S 2WD Short Course Truck. The 22S draws inspiration from Losi’s roots as a radio control racing company, taking lessons from the multinational winning TLR® (Team Losi Racing®) 22 platform and adapting them for remote control sport use as well.
The Losi 22S platform delivers all the advantages of an aluminum chassis, such as electronics protection, side impact guards, and a clean wire management system, while providing accurate and positive grip to the road when you’re pushing the limits of power and traction. An all metal gear transmission provides the bullet-proof reliability you need to withstand anything you throw at it without the fear of a broken transmission gear. The sealed gear differential comes standard with 500,000k diff oil installed, allowing you to throw as much power as you want.
Both 22S drag cars provide RC drivers with the advantages of a Spektrum™ SLT3 transmitter and dual protocol receiver, Spektrum Firma™ 100 amp Smart ESC, and Spektrum Firma 6500kv brushless motor. These Losi 22S race cars also meet the rules and regulations for competing in No Prep Drag Races straight out of the box.
Fully adjustable turnbuckles are included as standard equipment for tuneability. Oil-filled internal limited travel coil-over spring front and rear shocks help keep the 22S incredibly stable and so you can maintain total control. Bleeder caps help you fine tune your shocks and get the perfect feel every time. Internal limiters help eliminate body roll and keep the car planted to the track. You can also fine tune the position of your battery with the addition of elastomer battery straps. These make your battery changes quick and easy. No more messing with clunky hook and loop material. Simply slap your battery in, pull the strap across and hook it. Other outstanding Losi 22S features include a low center of gravity rear shock tower, extended body mounts, optional heavy duty sway bar, adjustable weight front bumper, elevated transmission, and a fully adjustable wheelie bar.
The ready-to-run 22S SCT short course truck, meanwhile, is a perfect choice for new RC drivers looking to capture the thrills of big air, blazing speeds, and responsive cornering. It too is based on the TLR 22 race platform, enabling it not only to maximize performance bashing in the backyard, street or park, but also to be the perfect entry level race truck for your local RC race track.
The Losi engineering team applied the race-proven suspension geometry of the TLR 22SCT to the 22S SCT, giving it the handling ability needed to maximize performance everywhere. The powerful Dynamite® 12T 550 brushed motor provides great torque and top speed. With officially licensed Magnaflow and Kicker Audio trim schemes, the 22S SCT looks like a champion while it’s tearing up the terrain or crossing the finish line. Designed to be user-friendly, the electronics are hard-mounted and the battery is loaded through the bottom of the chassis for a hassle-free user experience. TLR 22 platform performance parts are available to upgrade performance and style.
