MINI JRX
The now iconic Losi® JRX2 was the original radio control racing buggy that made the Losi brand a worldwide force in hobby grade RC vehicles. Gil Losi Jr. was one of the premier racers in the 1980s, top qualifying and winning the 1985 IFMAR 4WD World Championship. With his father “Pops” (Gil Losi Sr.), Losi launched the Team Losi brand by selling homemade aftermarket radio control parts and accessories at their local skatepark snack bar, turning it into a mini hobby shop. Over the next ten years they purchased the famous "Ranch Pit Shop" and dedicated three years to developing their first race-dedicated RC vehicle, the JRX2, introduced in 1988.
With its graphite chassis and 5-link suspension, the JRX2 pushed the boundaries of what a competitive RC racer should be and is known today as one of the most innovative cars of all time. For years, remote control car and truck racing enthusiasts demanded a re-release of the Losi JRX2 RC buggy. Those drivers got their wish in a 1/16 scale package with the ready-to-run (RTR) Mini JRX. Based on the legendary 1/10 scale JRX2 buggy, the Losi Mini JRX platform is a scaled down version whose features mimic the JRX2 and provide a nearly identical vehicle with some minor changes for durability and performance.
Paying homage to the innovations that have shaped the RC community is one way radio control enthusiasts everywhere can celebrate the hobby. The Mini JRX2 is such an homage, combining nostalgia with a touch of present day. In many ways, this scaled down version is a faithful tribute to the memory of the original JRX2. With its all-in-one-box packaging, original trim schemes, and old-school handling, RC car fans who drive the Mini JRX2 can experience what it was like all those years ago — and either make new memories or rekindle the old ones.
The flat fiberglass chassis of the Mini JRX2 mimics the original and provides flex for easier driving. The 5-link suspension and aluminum bodied shocks provide maximum grip in loose conditions, delivering performance over rough off-road surfaces that’s superior to any other RC mini vehicle. Ribbed front tires and 4 row step pin tires in the rear provides an era proper tire package.
Losi also includes a race-inspired Jr’s Choice 42-turn motor that’s rear-mounted just like the motor in the original vehicle. The entire drive train and wheels are bearing supported for low drag and extended usage. With a 650mAh LiPo battery, the stock setup provides over ten minutes of run time. To simplify charging, a 0.5A USB charger is included that easily plugs into any USB port for charging. The Mini JRX is a total ready-to-run (RTR) package, and everything about this platform is designed to deliver a jaw-dropping driving experience. Drivers can even pick from three different trim schemes that mimic the original box art schemes of the JRX era.

The included 2.4GHz transmitter packs a lot of features in a small package with interference-free reliability, and you’ll find a 25A 2-in-1 ESC/Rx mounted in the chassis for reliable signal and power delivery.
