TRACK REMOTE CONTROL CARS & TRUCKS
If the sights and sounds at a radio control race track bring a big smile to your face and make your heart beat faster, then Losi® radio control track vehicles are for you. Each of our RC track cars, trucks, and buggies are designed to accomplish a specific purpose on a specific surface, because every track for every type of remote control racing has its own demands and its own requirements.
In radio control drag racing, for example, you need an RC track car that’s engineered to follow the straightest line possible as fast as possible, rather than to maneuver through corners and withstand bumps and jumps. Losi No Prep 1/10 scale RC dragsters like the ’69 Camaro 22S Drag Car and ’68 Ford F10 22S Drag Truck perfectly fit the bill. Ready to run (RTR) right out of the box, Losi No Prep Drag vehicles are remote control street racing models that combine officially licensed scale looks with competitive RC drag racing performance. They’re detailed recreations of the full-size autos, and they also meet the rules and regulations for competing in No Prep Drag Races straight out of the box. No Prep drag racing is where 1/10 scale RC street vehicles compete on a 1/10 scale version of full scale drag racing’s quarter mile long track. The main attraction of No Prep RC drag racing is the “no prep”. This means that the track surfaces you race on usually have not been altered to increase traction. As long as the surface is relatively flat, it’s suitable for this kind of racing.
Losi® RC stadium trucks built for radio control race tracks are essentially oversized buggies that feature longer suspension arms, longer shocks and bigger wheels and tires. RC stadium truck racing gained popularity in the 1990s because the stadium trucks were easier-to-drive versions of the buggies. They’re still raced at most tracks. RC short course trucks are full-bodied radio control stadium trucks with the same handling characteristics as the stadium trucks but with enclosed tires that allow racers to get a little more physical on the track.
Losi 1/8 scale 8IGHT 4WD nitro buggies and truggies have also been built with championship-proven engineering for racing rather than general desert or street use. You gain the ability to fine-tune performance and achieve the handling and speed needed to carry you across the finish line first. The 1/8 scale nitro buggies are by far the biggest, most challenging class in radio control racing. On any given weekend, a who’s who of RC drivers can be found at any local RC track battling for a podium finish. Combining durability and handling with enormous power like these RC track cars do can only create one thing — sheer excitement!
