  • I Got Started in RC When:  I Got Started in RC When: I had a car that I would play around with at the local motocross track or in the backyard on a little track I made with my friends. At the time I didn't really know there was organized RC racing. I was in school and one of the kids in class was looking at an R/C Magazine. I was like, "Hey, I have one of those cars." The kid was really into racing and asked if I would like to go with him and his father to check it out one weekend. I went to SCORE in Savannah, GA. I've been hooked ever since.
  • First RC Car: My first RC car was a Tamiya Hot Shot. After that I bought a Team Associated RC10 with gold aluminum tub chassis. My first Team Losi truck was the LXT.
  • Other Hobbies You Are Involved In: I'm into all types of racing: Motocross, Supercross, and auto racing. I also enjoy bowling and hanging out with family and friends.
  •  Why You Love the Hobby:The hobby has allowed me to travel to so many great places and meet lots of wonderful people. I love my job!

  • 2-Time Arizona State Champion
  • I Got Started in RC When:  My brother gave me all of his old R/C stuff when he started racing real cars on dirt ovals. I won the Novice class at my first big 2-Day race 6-months after I really started racing. Ive been hooked ever since.
  • First RC Car: My brothers Mauri Big Bear, which I still have. My first RC racecar was a Team Losi JRX-2 that I got for Christmas 1995.
  • Other Hobbies You Are Involved In: Ive had the chance to drive my brothers full-scale dirt-oval modified racecar a few times, which has been an awesome experience. Ive been part of his pit crew since I was a kid; however Ive only had a chance to get in the drivers seat this year. Its been fun to try and transfer my RC knowledge to these dirt oval cars. There are some similarities, a lot of differences, but learning how to drive and set up a full-size racecar has been quite the test of the mind.
  •  Why You Love the Hobby:  Ive made a lot of close friends, traveled to places around the country that I normally would not have been, and met many people I otherwise would not know. Ive always loved the technical aspects of the hobby; assembling a kit, breaking in engines, that sort of thing. The knowledge Ive gained and the lessons I have learned thru R/C have migrated their way into my professional and personal life on a daily basis. Every time I am at the track I am tested with a question from a newer racer. Being able to answer them completely and helping them understand the alternate aspects of a technical question not only keeps my mind sharp, but really gives me the feeling that I am mentoring someone in their quest of achieving their R/C goals.

  • I Got Started in RC When:  My dad was always into motorsports and RC planes. He had heard from friends about a place where they raced radio control cars and decided we should check it out. We went to a local indoor track on their race night, I watched the modified class and was hooked. Initially, my dad thought that we would both just drive cars for fun but I soon got bit by the racing bug and began competing regularly. He was my pit guy for about a year and then he kind of stepped aside to let me learn everything on my own.
  • First RC Car: RC10B3 which I raced for a few months then bought a Team Losi XXX and never looked back.
  • Other Hobbies You Are Involved In:  I enjoy snowboarding a lot and occasionally skateboarding. I did both for 4-years before I got started in RC car racing. I love watching Moto-X and F1 racing.
  •  Why You Love the Hobby:  I have learned so much from racing RC cars and gained so many friends. I have a ton of fun racing and never get tired of it. I really don't know where I would be in life had I not started racing. I enjoy helping other racers and also the experience of traveling to new places.
